Booking and payment
A booking is confirmed when we receive a 20% deposit and send written confirmation. The balance is due on arrival in Kathmandu, before the trip starts, by card, bank transfer or cash. Card payments may carry a bank processing fee.
Prices
Prices are per person in US dollars and depend on group size. They include everything listed under "What's included" on each trip page. Government fees and domestic airfares can change; we will tell you before you pay if they do.
Cancellation by you
Please tell us in writing. Deposits cover permits and bookings made on your behalf and are generally non-refundable, but can usually be moved to a later date. If you have paid in full, a partial refund applies depending on how close to departure you cancel — ask us for the schedule that applies to your trip.
Changes and cancellation by us
Mountain weather, flight cancellations, landslides and strikes can force changes. Your guide may alter the route or turn back for safety reasons; their decision is final. Extra costs caused by events outside our control are paid by the traveller, which is why travel insurance is required.
Travel insurance
Insurance covering medical treatment, trip cancellation and emergency helicopter evacuation to the maximum altitude of your trip is mandatory.
Health and fitness
You are responsible for being fit enough for the trip you choose and for telling us about any medical condition that may affect it.
Leaving a trip early
No refunds are given for unused services if you leave a trip early, but we will help arrange your onward travel.
Complaints
Tell your guide first so we can fix things on the spot. If you are still unhappy, write to us within 30 days of returning.
